RLC endorses Jeff Edgens for Irwinton City Council

October 1, 2005 — The Republican Liberty Caucus of Georgia has endorsed Dr. Jeff Edgens for the Irwinton City Council. Jeff is a member of the RLC and a signer of the RLC’s Liberty Compact. His campaign platform has three planks: reducing taxes, reducing overspending and protecting property rights.
Jeff is an Assistant Dean at Georgia Military College Milledgeville and a graduate of Georgia Military College, Presbyterian College, University of West Florida and Michigan State University. His professional career spans land grant universities, agricultural organizations and free market think tanks. He is a member of the National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of America.
With deep roots in Wilkinson and surrounding counties going back over 200 years, Jeff is related to the Branan, Byington, Ryles, Gilmore and Boyer families. He lives in Irwinton with his wife, Karen, and their children, Savannah and Kipp. His mother is a Wilkinson County native.
